Elad Harel Joins Department as Assistant Professor

Elad Harel, who received his PhD in Chemistry with Alex Pines at UC Berkeley, has joined Northwestern University's department of chemistry following a postdoctoral stint with Greg Engel at the University of Chicago. Professor Harel's fields are ultrafast multi-dimensional optical spectroscopy and multi-dimensional magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Harel's research focuses on developing methods to attack extremely complicated problems in biology and chemistry using coherent spectroscopies.
